I am getting the following error:
Java for ppc cannot run in this configuration.
Please consult documentation.
Warning: Failed to start the Java Virtual machine - JNI
error: -1.
Warning: Disabling Java support

This error has been seen on Intel-Based Mac systems when using R2006b or earlier. MATLAB R2006b and earlier is not supported on Intel-Based Mac systems. See the Mac system requirements below for more information about system requirements:
