The User Account Control (UAC) feature can impact the ability of MATLAB and other products to appropriately update system and global settings as necessary. Some products will require administrator privileges to run on Windows Vista and Windows 7 if UAC is enabled.
Products impacted by the UAC settings include but are not limited to:
- Data Acquisition Toolbox
- Gauges Blockset
- MATLAB Builder for .NET
- MATLAB Builder for Excel
- MATLAB Builder for Java
- MATLAB Compiler
- Model-Based Calibration Toolbox
- Requirements Management Interface
- Simulink Verification and Validation
- xPC Target
These products will require administrator privileges to run with Windows Vista or Windows 7 where UAC is enabled. To run MATLAB with administrator privileges, right click on the MATLAB shortcut or executable and select the option "Run as Administrator."
NOTE: You will have to take this action even if you are logged into the computer with an administrator account.
