When I update or add a Toolbox to my Mac license for R13 why does it not get installed?

Problem Description:

When I run the MathWorks installer to add or update a toolbox on my Mac OS X machine, the installer only seems to run the Jaguar Patch, and not install the actual toolbox.

Solution:

To properly install a Toolbox with an existing MATLAB installation on your Mac, you must have OroborOSX running before you start the installation. You can start OroborOSX from the OroborOSX folder within MATLAB. By default this is in the /Applications/MATLAB6p5/OroborOSX-Folder directory. Then you may start the installation as normal.

If you are still just getting the Jaguar Patch, but not the actual Unix installer for the Toolbox, then check that the folder that you downloaded the required files into doesn't have a space in its name. For example, change "Statistics Toolbox" to "StatisticsToolbox", then re-run the installer.
