Is MATLAB supported on the Sony PlayStation 3 or on a machine with a Cell processor?

As known, Playstation 3 provides the possibility to install PowerPC compatible Operating System. Sony already offers a bootloader and Linux-kernel-patches for Fedora Core 5. Is it possible to install and run MATLAB under a cell processor machine such as the PlayStation 3?

MATLAB currently does not support Linux on PowerPC based processors such as the Cell processor. Thus, MATLAB is not officially supported and is not expected to work on the Playstation 3 hardware. For more information about the system requirements for MATLAB, see the system requirements page here:
