Subject:
How can I obtain my Concurrent or Network Named User license file for R2008a and higher?
Problem Description:
I haven't received my license file or File Installation Key. Where can I get my license file and File Installation Key for my network license?
Solution:
In order to retrieve the license file and File Installation Key for MATLAB R2008a and above, you will need to access the License Center in your MathWorks account here:
https://www.mathworks.com/licensecenter (Log in required)
You can then use the steps below to retrieve the passcodes for your license:
1) In the License Center, click on the row for the license that you wish to retrieve passcodes. 2) Once the license information is retrieved, click the "Activation and Installation" tab. 3) If you have already activated you will see a "Get License File" button. Click on that to retrieve the passcodes. If you do not see this button, you will need to activate the license server machine. 4) To activate the license server machine, click the "Activate" button. 5) If you do not know what the license server's Host ID is, click on "What is a Host ID?" link to get help finding the server's Host ID. Otherwise, check "I have the Host ID" and click Continue. 6) On the next screen, select your machine's Operating System. If you had a license for a previous version, the Host ID field should be populated for you, otherwise enter in the Host ID for your license server machine. Once complete, click Continue. NOTE: You may also label the activation if you wish. This field is optional. 7) A new screen should pop up and give you the option to either download the license file or have them sent via email.
If you are unable to retrieve your passcodes following the steps above, contact Customer Service by making a new request here:
