Are products from The MathWorks supported on Windows 7?

Problem Description:

I would like to know if The MathWorks is planning to support products to be compatible with Windows 7 on 32-bit and 64-bit architectures.

Solution:

R2009a (including Student Version) and R2009b are fully supported on 32-bit and 64-bit Windows 7 (except for PolySpace products). We are not aware of any fundamental limitations, though MATLAB will not take advantage of certain Windows 7 features like high-DPI settings, Libraries, and the Default Programs control panel.

Running older versions of MATLAB is not officially supported, but is expected to work in many cases. Depending on the age of the MATLAB release, you may need to run MATLAB in a compatibility mode for an older version of Windows and/or avoid using the newer Themes available in Windows 7.
