Is it possible to use Data Acquisition Toolbox on my 64-bit Windows machine?

I would like to use Data Acquisition Toolbox on my 64-bit Windows machine to acquire data from a supported board.

This enhancement has been incorporated in Release 2011a (R2011a). For previous product releases, read below for any possible workarounds:
Data Acquisition Toolbox is supported only on 32-bit Windows platforms, and therefore cannot be installed with 64-bit MATLAB on 64-bit Windows machines.
In order to be able to use the Data Acquisition Toolbox on 64-bit Windows platforms, you may install MATLAB as a 32-bit application. In addition, you must ensure that your hardware works with the vendor's 32-bit (user-mode) drivers on the 64-bit platform outside of MATLAB to be able to connect to it.
