We have received several requests for information on how various releases of our software operate under Windows 7. This document is intended to clarify our position, and provide an official statement of MathWorks support for Windows 7.
MATLAB and Simulink Support
The MATLAB-based products include everything in the MATLAB and Simulink product families. Release R2010a and subsequent releases of this software are formally supported for use under Windows 7 for both 32- and 64-bit architectures. MathWorks also supports the two previous releases, R2009a and R2009b (including R2009b Service Pack 1) under Windows 7.
MathWorks has not tested releases R2008b and earlier under Windows 7, and we do not formally support the use of these releases under Windows 7. Therefore, MathWorks cannot recommend the use of releases R2008b and earlier under Windows 7 for any production application.

Polyspace Support
The Polyspace product family, including Polyspace Server and Polyspace Client, does not support use under Windows 7 for releases R2010a and earlier. Windows 7 support is provided beginning with R2010b.
We recommend that users upgrade to the R2010b release for use under Windows 7. We will fully support upgrade efforts, and will continue to diagnose and correct any problems uncovered.
