Traditional acceptance testing requires that tests be written late in the process with little insight into system behavior. By requiring vendors to provide executable models, the US Navy was able to develop tests and analysis on an “infinitely measurable” simulated device under test. As failure information is uncovered during simulation, the framework supports the capture and re-use of this information in developing and conducting final acceptance testing. Analysis tools developed during simulation based testing can be re-used as well.
The total cost of final acceptance testing for the US Navy and its vendors was dramatically reduced since tests can be more directed, based on system knowledge gained through simulation.
Attend this live webinar to learn how to streamline acceptance testing using Model-Based Design. Topics include:
- Modeling hardware behavior using Simulink
- Developing failure injection and analysis blocks with Simulink
- Executing models in real time with XPC Target
- Development and re-use of analysis tools using MATLAB
