This webinar introduces DES (Discrete Event Simulation) modeling and describes how it can be used to model complex systems in a very straight forward manner.

This webinar also introduces the SimEvents™ discrete event simulator from The MathWorks. You can use DES to understand aspects of a complex system that are not readily viewed using continuous time models. SimEvents is not only a discrete event simulator, but can also be used in conjunction with Simulink® and Stateflow® for hybrid system simulations. This enables designers to use the best modeling strategy for the subsystems and combine them into one model of the entire system.

Through a presentation and product demonstrations, we will

  • Introduce attendees to DES and describe how it differs from Simulink and Stateflow modeling
  • Show real model applications and illustrate how SimEvents is used to model the systems
  • Show how SimEvents can be used for hybrid system modeling

This webinar is for people who are unfamiliar with DES or would like an introduction to SimEvents and the modeling capability it delivers.

Product Focus

  • SimEvents™ 1.0
