This webinar provides an overview of the fixed-point signal processing capabilities of MATLAB® and Simulink®.Attendees will discover how MATLAB, Simulink, and featured toolboxes and blocksets enable users to analyze fixed-point data more effectively and to model, design, implement, and validate fixed-point algorithms and systems more accurately.

Through demonstrations, we will showcase the features and capabilities of theFixed-Point Toolbox, Simulink Fixed-Point, and related productssuch as the Signal Processing Toolbox, the Filter Design Toolbox,Filter Design HDL Coder, theSignal Processing Blockset, and the Video and Image Processing Blockset. We will show how these features help users tackle a wide range of signal processing problems and challenges including:

  • Converting an algorithm from a floating-point to a fixed-point representation
  • Designing and implementing fixed-point filters, and synthesizable VHDL or Verilog code
  • Developing a fixed-point video processing system in Simulink from modeling and design to automatic code generation and deployment on TI hardware target
