This webinar is application oriented and focuses on advanced modeling techniques that enable the modeling of very complex systems, such as video processing, networking systems and Real Time Operating Systems. SimEvents not only models the discrete time transactions of the blocks within the system, but is also fully integrated with Simulink®, Stateflow® and MATLAB® supporting very detailed modeling of the system when required.

This webinar will demonstrate:

  • how simple and quickly a model can be developed to determine system resource constraints
  • how to model networking protocols using a DES modeling paradigm
  • how DES can be extended to model the operations of an RTOS

By the end of this webinar, attendees should be able to readily apply SimEvents to some very complex projects they might be working on.

Although a brief introduction to SimEvents will be given, it will be assumed that the audience has some familiarity with DES and hence will focus primarily on modeling techniques. Interested members who are not familiar with DES or SimEvents are encouraged to view the other SimEvents webinars on the MathWorks web site.
