About the Presenter
YJ Lim is the Principal Product Lead of Robotics and Autonomous Systems at MathWorks. He has more than 20 years of experience in the robotics and autonomous systems area. Before joining MathWorks, Dr. Lim served as a senior project manager at Vecna and chief innovation officer at Hstar Technologies, where he led developments of agile mobile robotic platforms and healthcare service robots. Dr. Lim received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and his Master’s from Korea Advanced Institute of Science & Technology in South Korea.
Tohru Kikawada is a Senior Application Engineer at the MathWorks Japan. He specializes in development of robotics and autonomous systems with emphasis on perception, planning, simulation, and deployment. Prior to joining MathWorks in 2014, Tohru worked as a digital design engineer for image sensors and image processors at Sony Corporation. He holds a B.S. and M.S. in electric engineering from Tohoku University in Japan.
