Join us on Wednesday 17th of June and learn how to access, preprocess and analyze your data quickly.

A variety of new tools for data analysis have been recently added to MATLAB. These include functions for exploratory data analysis and Live Tasks for quick and interactive data preprocessing.

In this session, you will learn the fundamentals of data analysis and visualization using MATLAB. We will use an example to address a typical data analysis problem including data access, preprocessing and visualization.

  • Pre-processing and analysing various types of data including textual and time-stamped data using MATLAB data types: table, timetable, string, categorical, datetime, duration, tall arrays

About the Presenter

As an application engineer at MathWorks, Sebastian Bomberg supports customers in implementing artificial intelligence projects. For instance, he develops applications for energy forecasting, predictive maintenance and IoT in general. To this end, he uses techniques from machine learning and deep learning as well as big data algorithms and cloud computing. Sebastian Bomberg holds a Dipl.-Ing. degree in mechanical engineering from Technische Universität München, where he also worked as a researcher at the Thermo-Fluid Dynamics Group.
