Overview

Wireless communication standards, such as 5G NR, and RF systems are increasing in complexity, demanding higher data rates and reliability, whilst reducing size, weight and power. In this session, you'll learn how to apply the latest capabilities in MATLAB and Simulink to address these challenges. This webinar will be recorded.

Topics covered include:

  • Generate standard-compliant PHY waveforms (5G, LTE, WLAN) and transmit over-the-air (OTA) with a RF instrument or SDR platform
  • Build a link-level or MAC layer simulation and integrate with RF frontend models to measure performance, such as throughput or EVM
  • Design and deploy communications algorithms onto FPGA hardware and decode OTA signals in real-time

About the Presenter

Nadia Shivarova is an MEng graduate in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, UK. Since joining MathWorks in 2016, she's had experience working in quality engineering for HDL-optimized communications products and in 2020 joined the customer-facing Application Engineering group as the pan-European Wireless standards specialist for 5G, LTE & WLAN and related technologies like RF and antenna design.
