Vehicle Modeling and Simulation Live Sessions for Student Competitions

Overview

The MATLAB and Simulink Racing Lounge team is pleased to announce a series of live sessions in 2023 aimed at assisting student competition teams in expediting their vehicle development process. These sessions will cover new examples and products that can be of great help to these teams. Each session will begin with an introduction to the fundamentals and will then delve deeper into pertinent automotive reference examples. 23 Mar 2023	Vehicle Dynamics Simulation and Visualization for Student Competitions Veer Alakshendra, MathWorks Veer Alakshendra, MathWorks Veer Alakshendra is a Senior Team Lead at MathWorks. He focuses on working with student teams in the adoption of MATLAB and Simulink in automotive and robotics competitions. While pursuing his Ph.D. from VNIT Nagpur in robotics, he primarily focused on kinematics, dynamics, control design, vibration, and optimization. Veer holds a bachelor's degree in aeronautical engineering from Aeronautical Society of India and a master's degree in mechatronics from NITK Surathkal. Nobu Iijima, MathWorks Nobu Iijima, MathWorks Nobu Iijima joined MathWorks in 2019 as on the Student Competition team. He primarily supports automotive and robotics student competitions in Japan. 14 Apr 2023	Code Generation with MATLAB and Simulink for Student Competitions Sam Reinsel, MathWorks Sam Reinsel, MathWorks Sam Reinsel joined MathWorks in 2018 as in the engineering development group and has been on the Student Competition team since 2020. He primarily supports automotive student competitions in the US and Europe. Sam holds an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech, where he worked on EcoCAR for 5 years. 27 Apr 2023	Overview of MathWorks ADAS and Automated Driving Tools for Student Competitions Akshra Narasimhan Ramakrishnan, MathWorks Akshra Narasimhan Ramakrishnan, MathWorks Akshra Narasimhan Ramakrishnan is the technical lead for the SAE AutoDrive and FSAE US competitions at MathWorks. In addition to these, she also supports other worldwide ADAS and automotive competitions. Akshra received her Master’s degree from The Ohio State University where she was the Connected and Automated Vehicles Team Lead of the EcoCAR Mobility Challenge.	Watch video (56:38)
