Develop tools that facilitate the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in signal processing applications within the MathWorks product family. The successful candidate will combine their knowledge of signal processing, machine/deep learning, and strong software development skills, to develop data-centric AI workflows and state-of-the-art algorithms to solve signal processing problems.

Responsibilities

We are looking for an energetic, self-driven engineer to work as part of our team to develop signal processing and machine/deep learning algorithms using MATLAB. Your goal is to make AI for signal processing easy to access, easy to interpret, customize and integrate throughout the engineering workflow.

Key success factors include: Passion for building great tools, an eye for details and commercial experience in gathering customer requirements and translating them into software advancements. The role requires establishing release goals, creating functional and architectural specifications, implementing and testing new software functionality.  

The successful candidate will create engaging application examples of the software that they build. This role will work with partners and customers, quality engineers, technical writers and usability specialists throughout the software development process to ensure your solutions become a solid and lasting foundation for our customers.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree and 5 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree, or equivalent experience) is required.
  • Expertise with signal processing
  • Expertise with Deep Learning
  • Expertise with machine learning

Additional Qualifications

  • M.S. or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math or related field.
  • Experience with signal processing algorithms
  • Experience with machine and deep learning
  • Experience with MATLAB programming
