Working under the direction of the Manager or Senior Team Lead, will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing sophisticated software; developing and improving automated, non-functional testing workflows in MATLAB and C++; designing and developing next generation tools and interfaces including benchmarking frameworks, scalability analysis, and memory testing frameworks for measuring MATLAB code; designing and developing data analysis, data visualization and data persistence features; identifying and implementing changes to the product under test for growing testability; researching and introducing new tools, contributing to the long-term automated testing vision and strategy of the company; and collaborating with other Software Engineers and Quality Engineers in automated testing-related issues across all product areas.
Education and Experience:
Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and no experience.
- Demonstrated expertise using or developing xUnit-style testing frameworks in MATLAB, C++, Python, or Java to author tests or test tools.
- Demonstrated expertise in object-oriented programming using MATLAB, C++, Python, or Java; and applying advanced object-oriented design patterns in software development.
- Demonstrated expertise refactoring existing architecture and developing new features using MATLAB, C++, Python, or Java; and improving and extending existing test or test tool codebases.
- Demonstrated expertise debugging MATLAB, C++, Python, or Java code to fix bugs.
