MathWorks is seeking a hands-on, Product Manager to support deep customer engagements and drive the adoption of generative AI (GenAI) in MATLAB and Simulink. In this role, you’ll work closely with sales engineers, developers, and customers to uncover high-impact use cases, prototype novel solutions, and help define the future of GenAI for technical computing and model based design.

You’ll lead exploratory projects, develop compelling technical content, and play a key role in shaping product direction by capturing real-world requirements.

Responsibilities

               

Market Intelligence

Monitor industry trends, emerging GenAI technologies, and competitive activity. Share findings with internal stakeholders to inform roadmap decisions and messaging strategies.

Customer Engagement

Partner with customer-facing teams to identify opportunities for GenAI-driven workflows in engineering and simulation. Lead deep technical discussions and collaborate on solution development.

Requirements Development

Capture detailed technical and workflow requirements from customer interactions. Relay actionable insights to product development, UX, and marketing teams.

Prototype Development

Design and implement proof-of-concept tools and workflows using GenAI technologies and MATLAB/Simulink.

Thought Leadership

Represent MathWorks in webinars, technical blogs, and conferences to share insights on GenAI’s impact in applied engineering domains.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree and 10 years of professional work experience (or equivalent experience) is required.

Additional Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with GenAI concepts and tools (e.g., LLMs, prompt engineering, AI-assisted coding)
  • Proficiency with MATLAB, Simulink, and/or Python 
  • Understanding of applications and domains in which MathWorks products are used
  • Demonstrated experience engaging with customers to gather technical insights and solve problems
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at various levels
  • Previous work in technical software product environments
