Job Summary
The IT Training Team summer intern will support the creation and modernization of training and promotional resources that support our internal IT tools and processes. You'll refresh our resource centers, transform existing materials into bite-size media, and help employees learn about and adopt IT tools.
The IT Training Team designs and delivers training solutions to MathWorks staff working in our worldwide offices. We work closely with our in-house IT teams to roll out, upgrade, change, or promote software, tools, services, and features in our existing IT portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Refresh and redesign existing resource center content to ensure it is accurate and engaging.
- Create micro-videos, short tutorials, and other media to promote IT initiatives via our internal channels.
- Help migrate content to a new IT knowledge base, following standards and process outlined by our Knowledge Management team.
- Collaborate with IT Training to suggest improvements to our resource collections, and identify topics for further promotion.
- Opportunity to explore other tasks as our team's needs and candidate's interests allow. Examples include video creating/editing, communication writing, and digital media creation.
- Bonus - contribute to AI-focused projects. Help design or refine our internal AI resources, explore ways that AI can improve our content creation efficiency, and assist in creating AI-enhanced training materials.
Minimum Qualifications
- Candidates must be pursuing a bachelor's level degree.
- Visa sponsorship will not be provided for this position.
- Candidates for this position must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer without restriction.
Additional Qualifications
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Coursework or interest in instructional design, communications, human-computer interaction, or related fields.
- Comfort with video and image editing tools.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 applications.
- Curiosity about using AI tools for content creation, prompt design, or non-technical workflow improvements.
