MATLAB Coder™, Simulink Coder™, and Embedded Coder® generate ANSI/ISO C/C++ code that can be compiled using Texas Instruments™ (TI) Code Composer Studio (CCS) integrated development environment (IDE). Embedded Coder lets you easily configure the code generated from MATLAB® and Simulink® algorithms to control software interfaces, optimize execution performance, and minimize memory consumption.
Embedded Coder automates the compile, build, and execution of generated code with CCS via makefiles. You can interact with the generated or hand-written code inside CCS using MATLAB and can perform processor-in-the-loop (PIL) testing with execution profiling using Simulink.
You can also use Embedded Coder to customize the generated code specifically for processors supported by TI CCS using published APIs and reference examples. For example, you can generate processor-specific (non- ANSI) optimized code. MathWorks Consulting Services is available to assist with these customizations.
For CCS v3.3, Embedded Coder also supports IDE automation and project generation.
