An injection molding actuation system. The model contains a set of cartridge valves that control pumps, motors, and cylinders to execute the steps of an injection molding process.

Front-Loader Actuation System

Front-Loader Actuation System

A simplified version of an actuation system consisting of the lift and tilt cylinders. Each cylinder is controlled by an open center, 5-way, 3-position directional valve. The valves are connected in series through their unloading branch such that the system pump is unloaded when both command levers are in neutral position. If either tilt or lift command is applied, the unloading path is closed.

Pilot-Operated Check Valve Test Rig

A test circuit built to check the characteristics of a pilot-operated check valve. The valve is loaded with three ideal pressure sources, two of which create pressure differential across the main flow line, while the third applies pressure to the pilot inlet X. The pilot pressure allows flow through the valve even if the main pressure differential is negative.
