5G Library

Model and simulate 3GPP 5G radio access technologies using the 5G Library for LTE System Toolbox™

The 5G Library for LTE System Toolbox enables you to explore the behavior and performance of 3GPP 5G radio access technologies. To use this functionality, first download the 5G Library for LTE System Toolbox from the Add-On Explorer. For more information on downloading add-ons, see Get Add-Ons (MATLAB) and Manage Your Add-Ons (MATLAB). Alternatively, you can download the library from the File Exchange at MATLAB Central.

You can use this library to simulate:

  • Tapped delay line (TDL) channel model, as specified in TR 38.901

  • Clustered delay line (CDL) channel model, as specified in TR 38.901

  • New radio waveforms, including candidate algorithms to improve spectral efficiency by limiting out-of-band emissions:

    • Filtered OFDM (F-OFDM)

    • Windowed OFDM (W-OFDM)

    • Cyclic prefix OFDM (CP-OFDM)

  • Link-level simulation reference designs, enabling you to measure the throughput of a 5G link using the provided waveforms and channel models
