Detect violations of high-integrity systems modeling guidelines for MATLAB Function blocks and Stateflow charts
You can now detect violations of these High-Integrity Systems Modeling (HISM) guidelines for MATLAB® Function blocks and Stateflow® charts:
hisl_0002: Usage of rem and fmod
functions.
hisl_0003: Usage of sqrt function.
hisl_0004: Usage of log and log10
functions.
Support for dynamic indexing on Data Store blocks
In previous releases, Simulink® Design Verifier™ did not support Data Store blocks when you selected the Enable Indexing parameter. Starting in R2021b, you can analyze a Data Store block after selecting the Enable Indexing parameter.
Enhancements to Observer support
Simulink Design Verifier now supports Observers that observe bus signals, complex signals, or Stateflow data. You can also detect design errors inside an Observer model.
Analyze server runnable global Simulink Function blocks inside export-function models
Stating in R2021b, you can generate test cases, detect design errors, and prove properties for server runnable global Simulink functions inside export-function models. You can also analyze the Simulink Function blocks at the unit level.
Generate nominal test cases for models without objectives
Starting in R2021b, you can generate nominal test cases for models that do not have conditions, decisions, or custom test objectives. This change makes it easier to achieve coverage for unit tests in purely arithmetic subsystems.
Improved test creation for models and components when using test extensions
Starting in R2021b, you can supply a seed test case to Simulink Design Verifier by simulating the top model and logging the components input. This results in better coverage by the generated test inputs and may reduce the analysis time. For more information, see Set Up Test Inputs and SimulateModelForSLDVTestGeneration.
Support for nested functions
In previous releases, Simulink Design Verifier did not support nested functions in MATLAB Function blocks. Starting in R2021b, you can analyze models that have nested functions in MATLAB Function blocks.
Analysis support for complex and composite signals
You can now analyze:
Simulink functions that have bus or complex output arguments.
Prelookup blocks that output an array of buses.
