Why does MATLAB spontaneously close when I am using Kingsoft's XDict translation software?

I am running Kingsoft's XDict translation software version 2005. When I attempt to change a tunable parameter in a Simulink model while the simulation is running, the entire MATLAB application shuts down without a warning or error.

We have verified that there is a bug in XDict 2005 and earlier that leads to a buffer overrun when editing tunable parameters while a simulation is running.

To work around the issue, disable the XDict software, or reconfigure the "Screen Fetch" Mode in the XDict software to use "CTRL+MOUSE" and avoid translating the dialog parameters while the simulation is running.
