How can I set an expiration (override) date for my license file? Can this date be different from the expiration date of the license itself?

License administrators can manually specify an expiration date for MATLAB license files. The following licenses do not support manual expiration dates:
  • Campus-Wide (Individual)
  • Classroom
  • Enterprise
For questions on manual expiration dates for Campus-Wide licenses, please escalate to Natick - Enterprise Support.
On term licenses, this expiration date must be earlier than the expiration date for the license itself. To set an expiration date for new activations:
  1. Go to the MathWorks License Center.
  2. Select the license you wish to add an expiration date to.
  3. Click the "Install and Activate" tab.
  4. Above the "Advanced Options" button, click the current expiration date. If no expiration date is currently set, this will read "Not set." If the expiration date button doesn't appear, click on "View activated computers" to set the expiration date.
  5. In the pop-up, choose a new date. To unset the expiration date entirely, clear the box and click save.

Are you an administrator for your license? If you're not, I think you will not be allowed to change the expiration date.
