Dear all,
I have some m files that I compiled them to an exe file. The problem is that opening or calling the exe from dos takes long time specialy when it is opened in the first time so, Is there any way to make the exe startup faster.
Thanks

The first time an exe is called, the exe unarchives some supporting files into a temporray folder and hence there might be some delay. Also, typically when you run a compiled application, the MCR needs to start up in the background which also contributes to the time. On the whole, running an exe is like running any typical windows application (usually requires a moment to start up)

But is there a way to get a faster startup, what about trying to keep this temporary folder to avoid unarchiving in the first time the exe starts.

search the documentation for MCRCACHEDIR, you should be able to set an environment variable to point to a location
