why does my program not reading these values?

Following is my program.when i run this program, it is not reading maxepoch and numhid values. These two variables belongs to rbmcdrbm function. so showing error while running the function rbmcdrbm. i have run this more than 100 times. It was working fine for long time. But suddenly what would have been happened? why the above mentioned values are not able to recognize by Matlab? Also while running this program, when it reads converter2 function the above two values disappear from workspace. what would be the reason? Also i guess, when i run this it skips reading first 4 lines
clear all
close all
maxepoch=50;
numhid=500;
fprintf(1,'Converting Raw files into Matlab format \n');
converter2;
makebatchesrbm;
% calculate time taken to train RBM
tic;%start the stopwatch
rbmcdrbm; %training RBM
toc;

Until the Crystal Ball Toolbox is published, you'll have to supply code for the converter2(), makebatchesrbm(), and rbmcdrbm() functions. Otherwise there is simply not enough information to answer.
