Mac windows don't are different from Windows windows

How do I get the same window features on a Mac that I get on a Windows box.
For example, I would like to see the status field (at the bottom of the window) and a start simulation button (at the top of the window) on my Mac just like I get on my Windows box. I would also like to get pop-up menus when right-click (ctrl-click on the Mac) just as I do on my Windows box.
I'm running R2011a on OS X Lion.

I work for MathWorks and look after the Mac platform.
This is a limitation in both the Mac and Linux versions of Simulink. You should be able to access all functionality from the menus and/or keyboard shortcuts (using the Control key, not Command). Right-click pop-up menus are there, but you need to "really" right-click -- Command-click will not work. Yes, this implies you need a multi-button mouse.
I understand these restrictions hamper the usability of Simulink on the Mac, and we are aiming to improve the situation in the future.
