Simscape Nominal Values Error in Configuration Parameters

1 view (last 30 days)
I am new to Simscape. Trying to use some blocks gives me the following error (see attached):
Error evaluating expression '{1, 'bar'; 1, 'cm^3/s'; 1, 'bar*kg/s'; 1, 'kJ/kg'; 1, 'kW'; }' for 'SimscapeNominalValues' specified in the Configuration Parameters dialog for block diagram 'TestB'.
Caused by:
  • Invalid model nominal value-unit pairs.
I have enabled "System Scaling by Nominal Values" found here:
Any help is appreicated.

Its not enough just enabling the feature, once you enable you need to click on the push button thats just to the right of configuration settings window, and then you need to add the value pairs. The link you have provided also shows the steps.

Same problem here. Did you find a fix?

This issue is comes while using Simscape blocks in your model and if you do not speciy nominal values as shown in this picture below:
You can specify the value and unit at each block as shown above pciture or you can add system scaling nominal values from model configuration settings. Details are documented here:System Scaling by Nominal Values, here you have to be careful and add nomal values and units for the physical blocks you are using in your model considering different domains are possible with simscape
