Adding directories to MCC with symbolic links

Running mcc on linux x86_64 using R2010b.
I am trying to add a directory structure to mcc command with '-a'. Inside one of the subfolders is a symbolic link to another directory. The directory structure added with the -a as well as the folder structure that is linked is added to the CTF archive but the symbolic link is lost. As the code is dependent on the the main folder structure, is it possible to get mcc to dereference the symbolic link into the main folder or automatically create a symbolic link in the MCR folder after it gets extracted? I guess I can add it myself after extraction, would this cause any issues?
Thanks, Jordan
