my matlab R2022a doesn't process codes or take any commands. when i try to exit, it says, MATLAB is busy, wait 20s. my cpu is i7 and i never had this with older versions.

I understand that your MATLAB R2022a is going in a busy state when you are trying to process codes and when you are trying to exit the MATLAB environment.
I suggest you to ensure that your system meets all the requirements for this version of MATLAB, which you can find here.
If the issue still persists, I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall MATLAB R2022a.
