keeping a list of strings in a history lsitbox

Hi.

I want to be able to keep a memory list of text that a user enters into a text field. I want this to populate a list box, so the user can easily select this again if needed.

I have tried before to write data I want recalled to a text file, however, I have run into difficulty when I deploy the app.

1: Are there any better methods to be able to save a list of strings (and add to it each time)

2: If I did go the save file route, how do I make sure the folder where the app is deployed and (where I would keep text file), is called correctly.
