Creating an Android app from MATLAB code

Hello all,
I have written a MATLAB code using components of the Image Processing Toolbox, where the input is an image of a leaf and the program gives me the percentage of yellow coloration w.r.t the size of the leaf.
I intend to make this program portable, where users can take a picture with their cellphones and obtain the percentage of yellow coloration without having to use a computer.
So far, I've seen posts about compiling the MATLAB code into C++ using the compiler. Is this the best solution to this? Once I have the C++ code, how will I go about creating an App for this software?

There is Simulink Support package for Android Devices that you can install from Add-on Manager of your MATLAB.
It supports creating app from a Simulink Model. There are camera, video display, data display sesor and other device driver blocks available for Android.
You can also use your MATLAB code inside MATLAB function block that will become part of your app which runs stand alone.
Please follow the below example where boundaries of objects are detected live on camera feed. Plase have a look on below exmple:
