Why does Inport data type error occur when MATLAB is used as action language instead of C in Stateflow Chart?

The error is:
MATLAB chart 'xxxxx' requires port 'yyyy.simfcn/inport_zzz' to explicitly specify (not inherit) the values of the following properties: Size Type Complexity Variable size
The error does not prevail when 'C'is used as action language for Stateflow chart.
Please help out.
