Try bwskel and then bwmorph to get the branchpoints. Or I think you can adapt the code I gave you in your previous question.

We tried with bwskel and bwmorph. Using these function, we could not able to seperate the boundary. We also tried with your code but we are getting correct boundarey. I attched the image by running your code. We are new in MATLAB. Can you provide some solution for this problem??
Sorry but I really doubt I'll be able to donate any more time to you as I'm very busy (I have an industrial job that I spend 10 hours a day on besides doing Answers) and making a whole robust, turnkey solution for you could take a long time, like days or weeks depending on how different your images are. I can't donate that much time for you. I showed you one way. Hopefully you can adapt it. Just chop your elliptical image in half and operate on each side like I showed you on the other post. Good luck though.
