NEW TO MATLAB- transfer function question

Hi,
I'm new to MATLAB, but I need to give some information to a fellow colleague who is a little more experience then me about a transfer function I need in MATLAB. There are two formula's (attached), the document I copied this from says
"By plotting (109) and adding the result to Gco(s), the total closed loop uncompensated gain and phase are now known and the compensation network that makes up Gc(s) in Figure 19 can now be designed as follows."
But I am unsure how you will plot these in MATLAB to show the gain and phase, any ideas?
