Is there a way to stop and start syncing of Google Drive using MATLAB codes?

I would like to ask Google drive (on mac) to pause syncing when I run a specific code, and then after the code is executed and done, I would like to ask Google drive to re-start syncing. Has anyone performed this? I would appreciate any clue, any function and code. Bests. MA.
