correlation of Two images correlation using matlab

Hi everybody,

Please i need your help !

I have two color images of a sample, which were obtained using light microscope. The first image contains some particles, and the second was taken after adding some molecules on these particles. The same images are for the same location on the sample , but the second image is shifted around 10 micrometer to right. Can i correlate the two image exactly, and then calculate the intensity of some location on these images using Matlab ?

Maybe the question is a little bit unclear. I just need to coincide the image exactly together because as i said one of them is around 10 micrometer out of the exact location of the first one
