Old MATLAB license which was deactivated is detected on startup

5 views (last 30 days)
I deactivated an old license for my user login recently, and enabled a new one. When I launch MATLAB from the MATLAB app, or from Model Composer 2020.2, the old one is detected.
Despite trying to download the license and manually installing it as suggested in other answers (shown below), the old one is still detected. Please help!

Try using the -c argument of the startup command with the path to the desired license file:
In CMD:
matlab -c "<path to license file>"
with the path being something like:
c:\program files\matlab\r2022b\licenses\network.lic
You could package this into a shortcut as well.
Also worth checking that there arent licenses superseding your desired license:

Just manually remove the old license file. If it’s an actual file, it can only be in 1 of 2 places. What Operating System are you on so I can let you know what the 2 paths are?
