Whether IQ splitter reduces the bandwidth of a signal

If i take a signal with x frequency and y bandwidth and pass it through an Hilbert transform and obtain I and Q component, then whether the bandwidth of the signal is split between I and Q or will the bandwidths of I and Q be y (that is same as the input)?
