It depends. Perhaps you need a simple picture to apply a simple algorithm. Or you need a complicated picture to improve the parameters of a very smart method for texture segmentation. So please edit your question and post useful explanations of your problem.

You can download the Brodatz Texture Database of images here from the University of Southern California: http://sipi.usc.edu/database/database.php?volume=textures It's the standard set of images everyone uses for texture research.
