Matlab with NI GPIB-USB-HS on Mac OS X 10.9.5.

I am having the exact same problem as described here http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/newsreader/view_thread/266640 with the exception that my operating system is 10.9.5.

Apparently there is no longer a 32 bit version of Matlab that I can download for Mac. How else can I solve this problem?

http://www.ni.com/download/ni-488.2-14.1/5090/en/ looks to be a current OS-X driver for that device.

I have these drivers installed and can talk to the GPIB device using instrument controller. It is something involving the addition of matlab that is causing the problem.
