How can I extract DAE-Systems from a Simscape model?

Hi there,

I've got a question regarding the simscape environment. As i know, a simscape model is nothing else than a graphical representation of a DAE system, wich is internally solved by simulink solvers during the simulation. At least, that's what I think it is... My question is now, if it is possible, to get access to or to extract the DAE system, that is used for the model solution?

Especially in case of using my self-programmed or the foundation components. For small models, there is still the possibility to get the DAE System by manual methods, but larger models are far too complex for manual methods.

Furthermore I would like to know, how if-else statements in a simscape model influence the DAE-system of a system model.
