Is it possible to execute GUI functions without opening a Matlab Environment?

Hello all I recently finished a GUI using the GUIDE helper program and I would like to be able to run it without having to first open an instance of Matlab. I've done some research on executing scripts and functions in "batch mode", but I have not come across anything that indicates its possible to execute GUIs or GUI functions. Your input on this matter is greatly appreciated.
