The MOOC licenses last for 120 days, and a new one is issued every 120 days. If you signed up for your MOOC course during the middle of the MOOC license period, it may expire before your course is over.
When the license expires, you will need to go back to the information page for your MOOC course and click the link to obtain the MATLAB license again.
This will bring you to your MathWorks account. You will need to log in to your MathWorks account if you are prompted.
You should be taken to a page with a download link for MATLAB. You do NOT need to re-download and re-install MATLAB. As soon as you have been taken to the page in your account with the download link, your MathWorks Account will have already been linked to the new MOOC license. You can then re-activate MATLAB, which will put a new license file in place, with a new expiration date.
Please refer to the following support article at the bottom of this answer for instructions on activating MATLAB. When you are activating, there will be a list of licenses for you to choose from. Make sure you click the one that is labelled for your online learning course. For example, for a Coursera Machine Learning course, you will see a license labelled 'Coursera Machine Learning'. If there are multiples, make sure you select the license with the correct expiration date.
