What does this statement on the Passcodes tab mean? 'Starting late 2015, the ability to generate passcodes for R2007b and earlier will no longer be available.'

I have noticed that there is a new message on my Passcodes tab in the license center. It states:
'Starting late 2015, the ability to generate passcodes for R2007b and earlier will no longer be available.'
Will I be able to retrieve passcodes in the future?

Yes, passcodes will be available from MathWorks support.
It is important to evaluate how viable it will be to continue using MATLAB R2007b or older. These versions are incompatible with many modern operating systems, and are becoming increasingly difficult to support. MATLAB R2007b is not tested or certified on Windows 7 or newer operating systems, for example.
It is recommended to try a newer version of MATLAB that will not require a passcode before submitting a passcode request.
