How can I setup some matlab related Unix env to add a path ?

I can manually do "addpath /pull/path" inside matlab prompt; How can I setup some matlab related Unix env to add this path, so that I don't have to addpath in matlab everytime ?

Have you considered using pathtool ?

Can you please show me how to use pathtool to add a path, so that when a use runs matlab, the user will see the package at the added path ? Thank you !
