Can't access to the editor from the GUIDE

The editor button in the GUIDE is not enable so I can't make any change in my. m file, also I can't acces to the callbacks of any object

@parrot rais If you have Matlab Online that should be easy to check. However, this is completely unrelated to this thread. Please post it as a separate question (but first see if a simple google search will teach you the answer).

What editor button in GUIDE? You just right click on the control (button, slider, or whatever), then select Callbacks->View Callback. This will throw you into the call back function in the code editor.

That's the point, I can't acces to the console editor. When I try right click and select callback nothing happens. It seems that the connection with the .m file was lost.

Well that's very weird. Both MATLAB and GUIDE are open, right? When you say View Callback from the context menu of the control in GUIDE, it should switch focus from GUIDE to MATLAB, and put the cursor right in the callback function. If that does not happen, call tech support.

can you type in the matlab command window edit 'guimfilehere'? or double click and open it from the current folder tab? Even if you accidentally delete the mfile, my tests show that when you click that icon to see it in the editor or callback it'll create basically an empty new mfile.

Is it possible that your files are read only? Use fileattrib to check.

Not sure that would cause the issue or not, but I know that sometimes if files are copied from a CD disc to your HDD or SSD, then it often sets the file with the "readonly" flag. Is that what happened?
