Dear all,
As the title says, simply draging and dropping a .mat file into the command window does not work anymore. It shows the typical stopsign-like cursor when draging a .mat file on the command window. I have version 2012a, running on windows 8. Worked fine for years. I have noticed that when I launch matlab NOT with administration rights, it works fine. However this troubles me with some saving permission issues, so this would work for me.
I performed a system recovery several times now, and looked online but only found one earlier mentioning of a similar problem without answers. ICT personal haven't heard of this problem before. I have no idea why this problem suddenly appeared, as I can't recall doing/installing/uninstalling anything odd. I have to add I don't recall if before this problem I was always working in admin rights, but I assume so because I never had permission troubles.
Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.

@Osman Ciftci: Please open a new thread and explain more details. What is the relation to the admin privileges? Do the problem happen with or without them? Which problem of readtable is solved by admin privileges?

do not open your matlab as 'run as administrator' to solve this problem
